Treatment of this complication to date remains one of the most important and difficult problems in trauma surgery. In the surgical Department of the Central regional hospital in Kalinin district for 11 years because of false joints of long tubular bones operated on 10 patients (8 men, 2 women) in the age group of 32 years to 56 years of age. All these patients with false joints were avascular type.

In connection with the false joint of the tibia in the middle and lower thirds surgery performed in 6 patients (5 men and 1 woman). Conservative treatment of fractures was carried out in 4 of them, surgical — 2, intramedullary osteosynthesis with locking mechanism Kundera and extramedullary osteosynthesis plate Kaplan — Antonova.
