Causes of osteoporosis

The elderly decreases bone strength and decrease their density – all of these normal age-related changes. But some people are prone to such changes is particularly strong, and there they have much earlier than others. The main risk factors are not modifiable:
-thin and weak bones of the skeleton;
-female;
-heredity;
-age over 60 years.

Risk factors amenable to change:
-medication, for example, anticonvulsants and corticosteroids;
lack of vitamin D and calcium;
-Smoking;
-sedentary lifestyle;
-alcohol abuse.

Signs of osteoporosis

Very often the symptoms of osteoporosis are signs such as pain in the spine and back pain, stooped posture, loss of height, deformity of the spine.

Treatment of osteoporosis

To make stronger bones by using moderate levels of physical activity, a healthy diet with the right amount of vitamin D and calcium.
